teetering

this time I would like to stay
I have long lived in the abyss
swayed like faint memory in its hallows

I have now tasted bliss
danced at its edge
and felt my soul sigh

lately, I feel myself lingering…
lingering in the place of hollow bodies.
praying for the darkness to descend
and the shield of numb fingers ablaze.
this place used to be my home
there is beauty here
I found irrevocable parts of myself here.
but to linger here, is to drown
lose light and breath.
it is not like that other place

where I teeter on the abyss
and dance with bliss
